Discuss The omnivores dilemma

Research Essay
8 sources min, 10 pgs min 12 pgs max
In this essay, you are seeking to inform your audience about a topic introduced in or related to topics in Section 2 (Pastoral: Grass) and/or Section 3 (Personal: The Forest) in Michael Pollans The Omnivores Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals. You may also incorporate and cite films watched in class, and/or our class discussions (urban farming, for example). This essay will allow you to educate yourself and others more about your chosen topic. This is your goal: to inform and educate, not to persuade or defend.
Research your topic thoroughly, and construct a rough thesis, which identifies the most important aspects of your topic-in other words, why its important, and why readers should become interested in it and learn about it.
After this, begin making a formal outline of your essay (a formal outline is required for this project), with rough topic sentences for each paragraph. You may choose to do some free writing in-between researching and outlining to expand your ideas. Write down your thoughts even if you think you might not use them!
Source requirements:
– Quotes, paraphrases, and summaries in the 2nd and 3rd sections The Omnivores Dilemma must be cited within the essay. In order to have a strong essay, the book should probably be cited at least 10 times.
– The other sources must include a mix of print and digital
sources.
– Citing one other reputable full-length book by one author is
required.
